As Director of Clinical Services you are entrusted with the responsibility of managing the clinical side of a very caring home health operation ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained.
The primary purpose of the Clinical Director is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall nursing services performed in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Oversees all patient services provided by clinical personnel. Ensures clinical standards of practice are
Interprets operational indicators to detect census changes that could impact staffing levels, revenues or expenses. Adjusts staffing levels accordingly.
Assists in the development of organization goals. Monitors progress towards goals for assigned areas of responsibility.
Participates in the development of clinical orientation. Responsible for orientation of organization personnel, either directly or by delegating to another staff member. Implements and evaluates the orientation program for organization personnel.
Evaluates the educational needs of clinical staff and plans on-going education and training.
Promotes home health referrals in the health care community by participating in marketing and sales
activities. Assists the Administrator in the preparation and administration of the organizations budget.
Monitors clinical expenses to ensure compliance with the budget.
In the absence of the Administrator, the Clinical Director will become the acting Administrator and
will be vested with authority to act on behalf of the Administrator.
Drives a motor vehicle to designated locations
Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication
BSN or higher degree in nursing with three years of experience within the last five years in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility, at least one year of which was in a supervisory or administrative capacity. OR:
A RN with four years of experience within the last five years in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, at least one year of which was in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
Demonstrates ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
Current State license, CPR certification and valid drivers license.
University - Associate`s Degree/Graduate Diploma/2 Years
