WHY IS THIS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY?
Love how food brings people together? This company runs employee meal programs for hundreds of offices to help teams bond over lunch. JOB DESCRIPTION
Top reasons this role accelerates your career:
1.) Be a forerunner in food tech. How can we use data to analyze taste profiles and how favorite flavors relate to other foods? This team is figuring it out.
2.) No red tape. Theyre small, theyre scrappy and theyd love for you to own it!
3.) Theyre taking off. This company just closed their Series B and are likely to grow from 40 to 60 in 2017.
This crew is working hard to grow a love company through team dinners every Thursday, gratitude circles on Friday and lunch 3x/week.
Being so small has allowed them to be very close-knit: Vulnerability and openness are prized. They intentionally have uncomfortable conversations rather than letting tension boil under the surface. As one team member described it, I come to the office and I feel like Im working on cool stuff with my friends.
Tech stack is Python and Django on the backend, Angular.JS and Vue.JS on the frontend, and deployed on Heroku.
Medical / Vision / Dental
Maternity / paternity leave.
Budget for workshops, conference or night classes
Team bonding funds
Company dinner every Thursday
Catered lunch 3x/week
Compensation Range: $143K - $162k + equity.
The startup hit a funding speed bump and had to outsource their engineering team about 6 months ago. They`re no rebuilding it.
So far it would just be you and the CTO, so this needs to be a senior-level engineer capable of taking over web site maintenance and feature add from day 1. The coding stack is Python/Django and you`ll largely be working backend, with occasional frontend Vue.js work. QUALIFICATIONS
You might be their teams missing puzzle piece if:
1.) You have at least 6 years of web development experience. More would be excellent!
2.) Youve mentored greener developers and you enjoyed it.
3.) Youve worked in Python specifically. Django experience is a strong bonus.
4.) Humble confidence. You know who you are and what youre about, but youre still (always and forever) open to learning.
5.) You`re seeking a family-like team.
