JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Mechanical Design Engineer San Antonio, TX

Commercial/Military Projects - Involving HVAC and Plumbing design

Mechanical Engineer to be critical team member of our proven architect?engineering

teams. Interested candidates should have an understanding of construction means and

methods and should be able to successfully develop mechanical and plumbing

construction designs under the supervision of a licensed P.E. for horizontal and vertical

construction in diverse locations. Services also include, but are not limited to the

following: develop/edit drawings in AutoCAD; determine requirements; determine scope of projects by identifying construction or renovation requirements; obtain initial

approvals by developing concept; develop plans and specifications; develop budget and

timetables; obtain approvals; make adjustments; provide construction administration by monitoring construction results as compared to drawings and specifications; solve design/

construction problems; provide project information by collecting and summarizing data;

deliver projects on schedule and within budget; coordinate with team members and

consultants; conduct site visits; and complete all necessary communications and documentation needed to ensure successful completion of projects.

Able to perform the typical duties and responsibilities this job requires:

Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and within budget.

Solid organization, planning, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of technical professionals.

Effectively coordinate and work independently with the client and stakeholders to accurately identify and capture project requirements.

Job Requirements:

Four?year college degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited

college

Proficient with AutoCAD, ability to develop and edit design drawings

Experience with Mechanical and Plumbing construction design

Ability to read and interpret construction documents

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word and other Microsoft

applications

Excellent communication skills

US Citizenship

A Plus:

Professional Engineering license in the U.S. (or ability to obtain P.E. within two years) Experience with USACE, AFCEE, NAVFAC or DOE construction programs

QUALIFICATIONS

Four?year college degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from ABET accredited

college

Proficient with AutoCAD, ability to develop and edit design drawings

Experience with Mechanical and Plumbing construction design

Ability to read and interpret construction documents
