Position Title: Retail Night Stock Clerk
Department: Grocery Department
Position Reports To: Night Crew Manager and Grocery Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
Order, load, and unload truck deliveries and stock all shelves.
Essential Job Functions:
Load and unload all truck deliveries.
Stock all merchandise.
Must be able to meet all productivity standards.
Keep back room stock areas organized.
Face Shelving.
Build or tear down displays on end units, promo isles and other display areas.
Help maintain sanitation conditions in entire store.
Bag and carry out customers groceries.
May be required to order merchandise.
Able to communicate with customers and associates.
Make clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
Ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.
Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
Adhere to company policies & procedures, particularly in the areas of dress code, grooming, sanitation, and
maintenance of a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
Perform any and all duties as assigned.

Minimum Position Qualifications: Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed Effective written and oral communication skills. Able to calmly, courteously, and tactfully handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers. Must be able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, bulletins, etc. Available and able to perform stock clerk duties and customer service duties as scheduled or assigned. Qualified and able to operate power machinery and work with various job tools (box cutters, label guns, balers, compactors, jacks, etc.) Available and able to perform stock clerk duties and customer service duties as scheduled or assigned.

Physical Demands: Standing & Walking Frequent standing & walking. Estimated total time 7.5 hrs. Maximum continuous time up to 4 hrs. Sitting Rarely required. Estimated total time 30 mins. Maximum continuous time 30 mins. Lifting & Carrying Max weight 135 lbs., average weight 25 lbs., distance carried 1-5 feet. Must frequently lift items under 10 lbs. and items between 11-25 lbs., occasionally lift items 26-100 lbs., and rarely lift over 100 lbs. Pushing and Pulling Frequent pushing or pulling pallet jacks, grocery carts, flatbed carts, U-boats throughout the store. Other This position also requires frequent bending, squatting, and kneeling, as well as constant use of either arm or both for reaching in all directions. Other requirements include twisting, neck flexion/extension, cervical rotation, high grip strength, frequent forearm movement, and frequent or sustained awkward wrist positions. Work Conditions Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, sudden changes in temperature, cramped quarters, sharp edges & hammering or impact tools.
