Job Summary:
The Office of Primary Care Research is located within the OSU CHS Division of Sponsored Programs, Research, and Institutional Advancement and coordinates research of a primary health care nature throughout OSU CHS. The Director, who is also a faculty member in one of the primary care clinical departments, oversees the operation of the Office. The faculty position is a tenured track and resides within the Department of Family Medicine reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The Director reports to the Chair of the Department of Family Medicine for his/her faculty and clinical responsibilities, and the Vice President of Sponsored Programs, Research, and Institutional Advancement with respect to the Office activities. The Director will engage in clinical teaching, research, and service.

Approximately 50% of the position's total effort will be devoted to patient care and affiliated clinical teaching. The remaining 50% effort will focus on the management and related activities of the Office, his/her own research projects, and professional development.

Experience:
Experience in practice and teaching. Served or serves as a PI or Co-PI on federal research and/or training grant program. Developed and/or administrative leader of primary care based research network (PBRN). Successful track record of extramural grant funding from both public and private sources. Familiar with rural medical practice.

Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses:
Residency training and board certification by the ACOFP required.
