Job Summary:
Installation and alteration of new and existing electrical systems and equipment.
Repair and maintain all types of interior and exterior electrical systems and equipment.
Repair and maintain all types of motor and motor controllers.
Installation, repair, and maintenance of primary high voltage distribution systems both overhead and underground.
Education and Experience:

Field of Study:
Journeyman Level Electrical, Electronic, Line Man, Motor Repair, or Data Technician
Degree:
Vocational/Technical
Experience:
Five years experience with high voltage, motor repair, electronics, troubleshooting controls, and electrical construction.
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses:
Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) within six months of hire and a valid drivers license before hire.
A valid Drivers License must be maintained for the operation of an OSU vehicle, which is required in the performance of job duties as assigned.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
Commercial, industrial, residential electrical experience. Bending conduit, industrial electronics, primary high voltage termination, primary high voltage splicing, electrical metering.
Working on ladders and heights, variable speed drive repair, pole climbing, electrical calculations, interpretation of National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code. Snow removal equipment.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Hiring Range:
$12.50 - $16.85 hr.
