Job Summary:
Coordinates, facilitates and assists in the planning, organization, control and implementation of emergency management and emergency operations center activities for Oklahoma State University and the OSU system. Develops and implements a disaster preparedness and training program for the University community. Coordinates emergency plans with community officials and the Local Emergency Planning Committee in accordance with regulations of state and federal agencies. Researches available grants and writes proposals for available funds. Coordinates the EOC staff and activated temporary workers.

Experience:
At least 5 years of progressive work experience in Emergency Management. Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day operations of an Emergency Operations Center and ability to interact with professional leadership team during emergencies. Must have experience working with state and federal officials (list any state or federal emergencies when such activity occurred). Experience in exercise design, implementation and management is required.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
Provide examples of written competency, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in Emergency Management, and parts of a basic plan. Must have ability to train in emergency management. Ability to lift 30 lbs.

Experience:
10 years of progressive work assignments in Emergency Management. Prefer emergency management training experience at local, state and federal level.
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses
Emergency Manager certification from the Oklahoma Emergency Management Association (OEMA) or other state equivalent.
Emergency Manager certification from the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM).
Master Exercise Practitioner certification from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Hiring Range:
$3,750 - $5,000 mo.
