Job Summary:
Routine labor and equipment operation to support maintenance and development of the University grounds.
Perform special tasks and act as working supervisor as assigned by Zone Leader, General Foreman, or Manager.
Provide routine labor to support other Physical Plant departments as assigned.
Education and Experience
Required
Degree High School/GED
Experience: 2 years Grounds maintenance or related field. Ability to operate grounds maintenance related equipment.
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses Service Technician Certification as defined by State Department of Agriculture after hire and Valid Oklahoma drivers license before hire.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge Ability to read, write and follow oral instructions. Physical ability to lift and handle a minimum of 100 pounds. Job requirements include occasional use of respirator equipment. Therefore, individual is required to pass a medical exam to assure physical ability to wear, use and perform work in respirator equipment, as it applies to herbicide and insecticide application only.
