8:00-5:00, Mon-Fri Some nights and weekends traveling for meetings or teaching courses and attending special events.

Job Summary:
Provide leadership, management, and supervision for the Center for Local Government Technology (CLGT). The director is responsible for the management and reporting of both fiscal and personnel resources consistent with policy, legal requirements and program needs and resources. Responsible for project development and maintaining the funding base for CLGT. Close coordination with legislators, state government officials and other agencies. The director is expected to take an active personal role in the development and presentation of educational programs and projects consistent with his/her education and experience. The director is responsible for working with other College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) and OSU Outreach units as needed to assure coordinated programs in subjects or with clientele of mutual interest.
Education and Experience
Required
Field of Study: Engr Const Mgmt or other engineering technology discipline, Finance, Acct., Bus Admn or Mgmt.
Degree: Bachelor's
Experience: Five years of engineering project work or management with increasing scope, complexity, and breadth of responsibility in both budget and personnel.
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses: Valid drivers license.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge: Excellent written and verbal communication, public speaking, teaching/ training skills, organizational skills combined with ability to multitask and work as a member of a team.
Strong ability to make presentations to large and small groups.
Ability to lift 25 pounds
High degree of initiative, self-direction, decision-making and organizational skills.
Ability to develop and maintain positive relations, communicating useful information about programs and services available.
Strong technical proficiency. Must be familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and maintain other software programs
Preferred
Field of Study: MBA or MS in a technical discipline.
Degree: Master's
Experience: Personal experience with local, state or national government as a participant, consultant or involved volunteer. An instructor of college or other adult credit or continuing education courses or seminars.
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses: Registration as a professional engineer or certification in an appropriate profession.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to handle multiple overlapping projects with multiple funding sources and constrained resources.
Hiring Range:
$5,600-$6,780 mo./$67,200-$81,360 yr.
