Hiring Range: $4,300 - $8,400 mo.
Job Summary:
The Information Security Officer and Director of Information Technology Security is responsible for the development and progress of the IT Security strategic plan as well as contributing to the overall strategic plan for the Information Technology Department. Participation required in annual policy review/update, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, change management processes and unit documentation. This position is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the IT Security Department. Summary of departmental responsibilities are: design and development of IT security plans of information systems in regard to security requirements and design; ensure information systems are engineered according to best security practices; auditing and compliance assessments; incident response and forensics; and security awareness training.

Field of Study:
Computer Science, Management Information System, computer Engineering, or related area.
Degree:
Bachelor's
Experience:
7 years of information security work experience from one or a combination of security architecture and design, security engineering, auditing and compliance, incident response and forensics, security awareness training, and the management of an IT security department.
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses:
CISSP or GIAC Security Essentials
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
In addition to the knowledge required to perform the major responsibilities, a successful individual will possess the ability to develop and deliver presentations to technical and non-technical audiences; must exhibit the ability to handle difficult situations; must operate with professional standards of confidentiality, honesty, and commitment.
Ability to lift 25 lbs.
Periodically this position requires work after normal working hours and requires continual availability by cellular device. A cellular device will be provided or additional income provided to compensate for use of personal device.
