Job Summary:
The Executive Director will be expected to provide key leadership in the Oklahoma Transportation Center (OTC) and will report to the OTC Executive Board. The OTC is a research, education, technology transfer, and outreach partnership among Langston University, Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma that was founded in 2002. The OTC has strong, essential ties to state and federal transportation agencies, and private transportation industries.
Primary duties of the Executive Director include maintaining relationships with key constituencies, providing leadership in securing funding, and developing programs. The successful candidate is expected to understand emerging transportation issues, promote collaborative research including multi-campus research, and embrace a collegial administrative style.
Education and Experience
Required
Field of Study:
Engineering, Business or closely related field
Degree
Bachelor's
Experience:
Five years of transportation and management experience and a working knowledge of research, technology transfer and education.
Extensive experience in working with federal and state transportation agencies and transportation industries, and knowledge of academia.
Knowledge and understanding of emerging transportation issues, promote collaborative research including multi-campus research, and embrace a collegial administrative style.

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge
Advanced proposal writing skills and abilities are required. Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
