Hiring Range:
$12.75-$15.25 hr./$2,210-$2,643 mo.

Job Summary:
This position provides administrative and customer service support for the Office of New Student Orientation and its collaborative efforts across campus and community to best serve first-time-in-college students and their families. Excellent support and customer service in person, via phone and through email with parents, students, and campus community is required. Must have excellent people skills with proven ability to work in a team environment while adapting to frequent change. This position suggests and initiates actions to improve office operations and service to campus, community and students in a collaborative fast paced team environment. This position prepares travel vouchers, requisitions, and other paperwork for financial purchases as assigned, maintains student time sheets and handles employment actions. Updating existing web pages and creating new information pages as needed. The position maintains financial transactions, revenue, and spending on three department accounts. Additional duties include developing and editing reports/correspondence in print and electronic media, monitoring meetings and room reservations and assisting in preparation for student and family orientation programs. May supervise percentage of student worker FTE.
Education and Experience
Required
Degree High School/GED
Experience: 5 years clerical/customer service experience with strong demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office, office etiquette, collaboration and initiative.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge Time management and good attendance are required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for interacting with a diverse population of students, families, staff, and university constituents. Must enjoy working with the public and be willing to be a team player. Excellent written, oral, listening, and computing communication; problem solving skills; ability to make timely decisions and meet deadlines. Demonstrated improvement of office operations and sound time and project management skills. Superb customer service skills. Sound work ethic, timeliness, and honest behavior required.

Experience: Understanding of and experience with OSU's accounting, admissions, and enrollment systems.
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge Proficient in purchasing and accounting procedures, pcard transactions, EA forms, payroll, and budget procedures.
