Job Summary:
Serves as Lead Technician, coordinating work and supervising day shift housekeeping technicians. Works cooperatively with Evening Lead Technician and Housekeeping Services Manager to ensure overall cleanliness and appearance of facilities throughout the campus. Performs Housekeeping duties, including cleaning, set-ups and removal of furniture, as needed.
Special Instructions to Applicants
* Mostly indoor working environment. But will include occasional outdoor exposure
* Involves working with a variety of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment
* Requires substantial strength and stamina
* Must have a current Oklahoma drivers' license
* Involves frequent bending, pushing, standing, kneeling, climbing and walking
* Involves repetitive use of hands, grasping, pulling, gripping, and working with arms raised above head and other strenuous activities
* May need to lift up to 45 pounds. If an object weighs more than 45 pounds, OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two person lift

Education and Experience
Required
Field of Study: High school education or equivalent job related experience
Degree Other
Experience:
* Three to four years of responsible work experience in housekeeping/custodial positions within a campus or business environment
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses
* Must have a current Oklahoma drivers' license
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge
* Strong knowledge of housekeeping- related responsibilities within a multiple-building environment
* Ability to serve as a team leader; setting a positive example for others
* Ability to coordinate and prioritize job responsibilities and direct the work of others
* High level of initiative
* Strong communication and decision making skills
* Ability to follow and ensure compliance with safety practices and policies
Preferred
Degree: High School/GED
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge
* Basic computer proficiency, such as using email and typing basic documents
