Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. - Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to Noon - Friday

Job Summary:
Teaches classes in the field of cardiovascular ultrasound, specifically Vascular Technology & Echocardiography. Provides technical guidance and instruction in peripheral & abdominal vascular scanning and physiologic testing & monitoring. Reviews and maintains curriculum for vascular technology degree & assists the Director in obtaining & maintaining accreditation with the CAAHEP. Prepares
A.A.S. candidates for the national registry exams given
by the ARDMS & CCI.

* Must be able to travel to clinical sites occasionally
* Must have an Oklahoma drivers' license
* Applicants will be required to provide proof of registry and education
* Light lifting and carrying

Required

Field of Study: Associates' or Bachelors' Degree or equivalent clinical experience

Experience:
* Minimum of 2 years clinical experience (in hospital or equivalent setting) and/or teaching ultrasound in an accredited (CAAHEP) institution that teaches ultrasound
* Applicants will be required to provide proof of registry and education
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses * Must possess Registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) in Vascular Technology (RVT or RVS)
* Applicants will be required to provide proof of registry and education
* Must have an Oklahoma drivers' license

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge
* Ability to perform ultrasound procedures and transport portable ultrasound machines
* Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with clear, grammatically correct English and prepare complex reports on deadline
* Requires interaction with supervisors, colleagues, students, alumni, advisory committee members, and the public, using tact, discretion, and independent judgment
* Must be demonstrably proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel), as well as e-mail and Internet

Field of Study: Masters' Degree or Doctorate

Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses
* Registry in other modalities of ultrasound such as Adult Cardiac (RDCS) and/or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with emphasis on vascular scanning
