Job Summary:
Assists teacher in planning, supervising, and implementing a program of learning activities and care for young children in accordance with the goals and philosophy of the OSU-Oklahoma City Child Development Center.
Working Conditions:
* In a typical work day the teacher must stand, walk, sit, and bend for approximately 7-8 hours. The job requires frequent stooping, squatting, crouching, and lifting of children
* Teachers will be expected to be outside, in all types of weather conditions, supervising and interacting with children
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to lift 30 pounds, move comfortably in the classroom, and work around young children with reasonable accommodation

Education and Experience
Required
Degree High School/GED
Experience:
* Must have at least six months experience working with young children (0-6 years old) in early childcare
Certifications, Registrations, or Licenses
* ELCCT certificate will be required within 90 days of employment
* Background check must meet acceptable standards for child care workers
Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge * Ability to provide positive interaction and nurturing of young children
* Ability to understand and comply with developmentally appropriate practices, Oklahoma DHS licensing requirements and other health & safety criteria as related to this area
* Must be open to training and guidance
