Job Description:
Responsible for substance abuse and mental health assessment of adolescents brought to the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center (PJAC) by law enforcement. Assessor's duties will include but are not limited to; admission screening, assessment of adolescents, drug screening, compiling written summary of recommendations and reporting the results to the appropriate referral sources.
Required Skills:
Must possess complete competency in the professional practice dimensions of Treatment Planning, Referral, Service Coordination, Counseling Education, Client, Family and Community Education, Documentation and Professional and Ethical Responsibilities. Must also posses age specific knowledge and competencies applicable to the population served.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree with two years of directly related substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred. Additional experience in substance abuse direct service may be substituted for specific counseling experience.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Benefits begin after 90 days of initial hire for full time employees
Time off-Operation PAR utilizes PTO (Paid Time Off).
This is designed to provide flexibility to meet the employee's needs.
Accrual begins on the first day of employment, but is not available during the Trial Employment Period
Tuition, Credentialing & Licensing Reimbursement
Operation PAR provides educational, credentialing & licensing assistance. All full time employees are eligible after completing one full year of continuous employment.

Health Insurance is provided by United Health Care. Operation PAR pays 80% of this benefit to it's employees.
