Job Description:
Performs substance abuse and mental health counseling work with adult clients in a residential treatment setting. Counselor's duties include but are not limited to screening, assessment, individual/group counseling, and treatment planning. Responsible for servicing primary caseload along with other clients as assigned. The counselor is also responsible for documenting in accordance with company standards.
Required Skills:
Counselor must posses competency in the following eight practice dimensions: Clinical Evaluation, Treatment Planning, Referral, Service Coordination, Counseling Education, Client, Family and Community Education, Documentation and Professional and Ethical Responsibilities. Must also posses age specific knowledge and competencies applicable to the client population served.
Required Experience:
Bachelor's Degree with two years of directly related substance abuse or mental health counseling preferred. Additional experience in substance abuse direct service may be substituted for specific counseling experience.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Benefits begin after 90 days of initial hire for full time employees
Time off-Operation PAR utilizes PTO (Paid Time Off).
This is designed to provide flexibility to meet the employee's needs.
Accrual begins on the first day of employment, but is not available during the Trial Employment Period
Tuition, Credentialing & Licensing Reimbursement
Operation PAR provides educational, credentialing & licensing assistance. All full time employees are eligible after completing one full year of continuous employment.
