SUMMARY
The Assistant Store Manager’s primary role is to provide excellent customer service for all current and new customers. The position requires that the individual be focused, detailed, and self-motivated.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Adheres to very high standards for overall cleanliness and appearance of the store,
- Must be flexible and willing to take the initiative in identifying and performing the best sales presentation to all customers:
- Educating the customers who come in the store
- Creating a positive buying experience for every customer
- Give the "Total Cleaning System" presentation to every customer
- Introduce all customers to the XL 21 Vacuum
- Showing other products that Oreck Floor Care Centers carry
- Maintain a proper mix of sales in the store
- Support the "JUST ONE MORE CONCEPT"
- Make 10 phone calls per day to invite customers into the store to take the Oreck challenge
- Abide by all the procedures set forth by the Home Office, District Manager, & National Sales Manager
- Responsible for following all established Oreck Safety and Environmental rules and regulations while performing work and completing tasks in a timely manner,
- Completes other tasks / job-duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have the ability to follow oral and written directions and keep accurate records. Must be able to prioritize time effectively,
- Must be self-motivated, work well under pressure, and willing to work independently or with teammates.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimal education/experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 2-3 years retail experience.
COMPETENCIES
- Must have a working knowledge of inventory and Point-of-Sale processes
