SUMMARY
The MIW’s primary role is to become proficient in all aspects of store operations in order to step into the store manager role. It is expected that MIW’s provide excellent customer service for all current and new customers; to ensure sales performance and profitability meet or exceed the store budget. The position requires that the individual be focused, detailed, and self-motivated. The MIW position is for an unspecified time frame.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Adheres to very high standards for overall cleanliness and appearance of the store,
- Must be flexible and willing to take the initiative in identifying and performing the best sales presentation to all customers
- Required to perform all aspects of daily store operation
- Maintain the proper Visual Merchandising standards
- Responsible for all aspects on store inventory (receiving shipments, POS processes, inventory accuracy, creating purchase orders, etc)
- Abide by all the procedures set forth by the Home Office, District Manager, & National Sales Manager
- Responsible for following all established Oreck Safety and Environmental rules and regulations while performing work and completing tasks in a timely manner,
- Completes other tasks / job-duties as assigned by management.
- Required to work a 5-6 day work week. Hours include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have the ability to follow oral and written directions and keep accurate records. Must be able to prioritize time effectively,
- Must be self-motivated, work well under pressure, and willing to work independently or with teammates.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimal education/experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 - 5 years retail experience.
COMPETENCIES
- Must have a working knowledge of inventory and Point-of-Sale processes
