Oak Ridge National Laboratory is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Occupational Medicine Physician to join the Health Services Division as the Site Occupational Medical Director. The qualified physician will be board certified or board eligible in Occupational Medicine.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Position covers full spectrum of occupational medicine including: Pre-employment physicals, DOT exams, health and fitness evaluations, injury care, drug and alcohol screenings, pulmonary function testing, respiratory fit testing, x-ray, medical evaluations, medical surveillance, physical therapy, clinical laboratory, and immunizations. Requires regulatory compliance with applicable State, Department of Energy, and other Federal regulations. Directs the occupational and non-occupational medical programs and staff. Develops and introduces approved standards and guidelines for occupational medicine and programs. Responsible to maintain a customer focus throughout all areas of responsibility.

Qualifications Required:
Degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice medicine (Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) in Tennessee. Board Certified or board-eligible in Occupational Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Practice or Aerospace Medicine. Five years of post-residency clinical practice is required. Medical management experience as well as experience in occupational medicine practice is desired. DEA License. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-Clearance.This position is a Workplace Substance Abuse program (WSAP) testing designed position which requires passing a pre-placement drug test and participation in an ongoing random drug testing program in which employees are subject to being randomly selected for testing. The occupant of this position will also be subject to an ongoing requirement to report to ORNL any drug-related arrest or conviction or receipt of a positive drug test result.
