Position Description
Plan and facilitate work of assigned employees to support on-time completion of production schedules. Increase the synergies, and employ the knowledge of plant teams.
Position Responsibilities
1. Support teams as required.
2. Maintain a positive working attitude and environment.
3. Ensure that policies, procedures, and bargaining unit
agreement requirements are satisfied.
4. Willingness to accept and delegate authority.
5. Accurately maintain company records and documents in
accordance with policies and procedures.
6. Focus on product quality and process control.
7. Perform make versus buy analysis.
8. Interview, appraise and discipline employees. Acknowledge
team accomplishments.
9. Support material shortages.
10. Support machine and equipment repairs.
11. Report and respond to product and process nonconformance
issues. Implement effective corrective actions utilizing
structured planning methods.
12. Support housekeeping and safety of work areas.
13. Understand and support the Continuous Improvement Plan.
14. Participate in the resolution of grievances.
15. Must be willing to complete additional advanced
training/education courses as required.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or related field is required. Minimum of one year of related experience is required.
Preferred Requirements
Two to four years experience managing in a manufacturing environment. Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred. Windows 95/98, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Lotus Notes E-mail, and JDE experience is recommended and will be desired within six months in this position. Must complete Team and Continuous Improvement Training.
