Senior Project Manager - Operations 3522

POSITION SUMMARY
High level knowledge of project management principles and methodology to run large to medium size projects. Provide direction and guidance to project teams, zone teams, and operations management. Responsible for the implementation of continuous improvement objectives throughout the operations of Oshkosh Corporation.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans and directs project through all phases of project life cycle.
- Manages project scope, cost & timeline.
- Provide guidance to team members to ensure the appropriate analysis &testing is performed throughout the design/development process.
- Coordinates communication between customers, operations management, engineers and project team members.
- Consult with suppliers, customers, and members of Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Assembly, Service, Testing, Quality Control, and Marketing departments as needed.
- Focus on product quality, process control, and production flow in order to implement improvements as required.
- Works closely with technical leads to prepare technical proposals, quotations, and presentations for upper level management.
- Works closely with the zone teams (team coordinators, quality, industrial engineering, etc.) to ensure continuous process improvement and balance within operations.
- Take charge and lead projects to completion.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or related field required. Minimum of seven years previous manufacturing experience. Experience in a leadership/supervisory role required. Three or more years of project management experience. Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma certification.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
PMP certification must be obtained. Proficient in Microsoft Project. Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Must be able to work in a cross-functional organization. Have excellent decision making, problem solving and organizational skills. Exhibited strong leadership.
