JOB SUMMARY
As the Warranty Administrator you would be responsible for administering the warranty process for customers and dealers of the Oshkosh product and parts. Develop and administer needed campaigns and recalls. Coordinate and administer vendor recovery. Provide warranty reporting to Finance, Engineering, and Service. Provide input to the continued improvement of the Oshkosh product. Serve as the liaison between customers and the company. This position will focus on Airport/Municipal parts.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Identify and ship warranty parts as required.
2. Review and process customer and dealer warranty claims. Review claims to determine the level of eligibility for parts and labor. Create credit memos, invoices, and purchases orders as they relate to warranty claims.
3. Review Engineering CN's, and create needed service bulletins with input from Service and Engineering.
4. Prepare, coordinate, and administer needed campaigns and recalls.
5. Provide cost analysis of campaigns and recalls to Finance.
6. Monitor warranty parts use and report trends to Engineering, Service, and Quality in an effort to develop product improvement strategies.
7. Administer and manage core returns and vendor recovery parts. Interact with vendors to recover warranty dollars and negotiate disputed claims. Coordinate reviews and analysis of vendor recovery parts with Quality and Engineering.
8. Maintain tracking and reporting of warranty claims, parts, and vendor recovery.
9. Provide written and verbal correspondence to customers, distributors and vendors.
10. Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of related experience. Strong computer skills required including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS
Experience with vendor relations and/or vendor recovery activities. Prior experience in automotive or heavy-duty equipment preferred.
