Job Summary
High level supervisory engineering position, exceeded by a Chief Engineer.
Job Responsibilities
1. Perform rigorous engineering analysis to support the selection of parts,components, and materials.
2. Supervise engineering teams and communicate project objectives to team members.
3. Project objectives include: performance, cost, weight, safety, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and accommodating basic customer configuration requirements. Ensure project objectives are accomplished on schedule.
4. Prioritize and assign tasks to subordinates.
5. Provide guidance to team members to ensure the appropriate engineering analysis is performed throughout the design/development process.
6. Analyze and resolve problems reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication, analyze and implement forms, engineering technical reports, and change requests.
7. Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and presentations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering. 8 or more years experience. Mechanical skills inventory will be required to determine mechanical aptitude.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree in engineering.
