Job Location: Oshkosh, WI

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Internship providing Operations Management support to the Oshkosh Corporation Defense ILS Aftermarket Operations group to assess existing and planned business processes and to develop, document and implement a controls plan that will allow the organization to achieve its operational and financial objectives for multiple Regional Logistics (Service) Centers.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Document process flows for multiple operating and planned service centers.

With an understanding of strategic and tactical objectives of the Sr. Program Manager, identify and prioritize key performance metrics to be monitored toward attainment of operational optimization.

Apply consulting-level knowledge of Operations Management principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to evaluate the existing operational environment for deficiencies; present findings to management.

Recommend process improvements and assist in the development of a controls plan for implementation of standardized (best) practices.

Develop on-boarding and training program as part of controls plan implementation.

In conjunction with Corporate Compliance, develop an audit program to monitor controls.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate should be (1) a student of Junior or Senior status working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Operations Management and/or Accounting or (2) a recent graduate with a proven record of academic excellence in these disciplines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale with no fewer than 60 credit hours completed.

2. Completion of the following courses with a near 4.0 GPA:

Manufacturing Planning & Control (MPC)
Quantitative Business Analysis (QBA)
Advanced Quality Management
Financial & Management Accounting
Cost Management

3. Completion of Supply Chain Management class project.

4. Strong command of general business process flows and cycles (e.g. Purchase to Pay, Revenue to Receivables, Work Order Management, etc.)

5. High level of knowledge of Sales & Operations Planning and Master Production Scheduling.

6. Prior military experience with a focus on maintenance of equipment.

7. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint

8. Strong presentation skills with reputation for generating quality professional-grade documents.

9. Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to diverse audiences with varying degrees of knowledge and experience across all levels of an organization.

10. Ability to travel during the summer months.
