Position Description
This position requires the ability to lead multiple projects and staff. Excellent business analysis and project management skills are required. Position will support business department(s) and system(s). This position is expected to address more complex business processes and provide innovative solutions for the business departments. Must possess knowledge of many business areas and technology. Should be able to independently resolve problems, proactively communicate, and manage projects with little supervision.
Major Areas of Accountability
Support the Human Resources and Payroll Departments in their information systems needs.
I. Software Development
1. Programming
2. Analysis
3. Testing/Implementation
4. Project Status Communication
II. Business Analysis
1. Perform process review and analysis
2. Meet with internal/external customers to understand the business process and make recommendations
3. Provide alternative solutions to business issues
4. Perform estimates of customer requested changes
III. Production Support
1. Provide day-to-day support for production processing
2. Maintain working knowledge of many application system software
3. Expected to take a lead role in day-to-day production support
IV. Project Complexity
1. Expected to address greater complexity in business processes over Senior Business Analyst
2. Expected to address large size projects independently
3. Responsible for coordinating junior members on projects
V. Project Leadership
1. Perform project status reporting
2. Develop project plan
3. Communicate to business the project scope changes or issues
4. Projects may include smaller ones, but generally larger in scale
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a 4 year bachelors degree, computer science related degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years IT experience
- Strong working knowledge of Lean concepts and terminology
- Strong working knowledge of JDEdwards and AS/400
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Value stream mapping experience (Current/future state)
- Working knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
- Report writing skills
- APICS principles
- Strong business skills across multiple disciplines. Purchasing, Inventory, Manufacturing, Finance, Sales, Distribution, Quality.
- Project Management experience using formal methodologies
