SUMMARY
Contributes to the continued implementation of the corporate export compliance program under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and the Foreign Assets Control Regulations (FACR). The position will provide trade compliance advice to company personnel involved in international sourcing or sales transactions, make export jurisdiction/classification determinations, and obtain and implement U.S. government export authorizations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. At the direction of the Sr. Export Compliance Manager and/or the Corporate Compliance Director, helps implement licensing strategies for major international programs and promotes trade compliance policy and operational procedures.
2. Responsible for determining the export jurisdiction and classification of certain company technical data, systems, and parts.
3. Prepares, obtains, and implements export authorizations (licenses and agreements) to support international purchasing and sales programs.
4. Ensures compliance with administrative requirements applicable to export transactions, including recordkeeping, certification, and reporting requirements.
5. Maintain current awareness and obtain mastery of federal regulatory requirements in the areas of U.S. export compliance and documentation, including Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Foreign Assets Control Regulations (FACR), etc.
6. Advises internal stakeholders of program- and transaction-specific export compliance issues; proposes and implements mitigation plans.
7. Provides export compliance outreach to suppliers and customers as appropriate to minimize trade compliance risks.
8. Coordinates and assists with audits and investigations.
9. If needed, will support training initiatives on export compliance to ensure a knowledgeable and educated workforce.
10. Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in International Business or a related field. Three years or more of export controls and/or international trade compliance experience and be a U.S. person as defined in ITAR, 22 CFR 120.15 (U.S. Citizenship or Resident Alien Status) and defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20).
- Strong computer skills required including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- Ability to interface professionally within all levels and departments of the organization.
- Highly organized, detail oriented individual.
