Position Summary
This position provides a technical know how and a solid functional understanding of Oracle's Procurement and iSupplier and EDI modules for our implementation of R12. The individual will be responsible for interacting with clients and requestors to analyze requirements, define, size, cost and configure/develop/program the proposed solution. This role will utilize Oracle EBS to support internal and external purchasing, EDI and supplier work processes. The individual will be responsible for understanding the requirement and/or issue to be addressed, proposing, modeling, and designing a potential solution and implementing Oracle modules.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Develop test scenarios and conduct unit testing
• Participate in integration and system testing, as requested
• Support the design and execution of system, conversion and performance test plans
• Participate on small teams of analysts and developers
• Meet and communicate status of all project milestones assigned
• Participate in regular team meetings, report on tasks, identify and resolve issues
• Provide a technical know-how and solid functional understanding of Oracle's EBS Procurement, Supplier Master, Item Master, iSupplier and Finance areas
• Utilize Oracle EBS to support operations
• Support error correction process post go live
• Responsible for understanding the requirement and/or issue to be addressed; proposing, modeling, and designing a potential solution as well as reviewing the solution configuring/developing appropriate functionality within the Oracle solution suite and managing the testing process to assure the business requirement has been met
• Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines
• Some travel will be required for the purpose of off-site implementation activities
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or software engineering and/or Associate’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience supporting an Oracle E-Business Suite solution with a focus on Purchasing and Procurement
• Hands-on, demonstrable experience with Oracle R12.x, Purchasing, iProcurement, RFQ, iSupplier Portal, and Advanced Pricing Procurement and developing Oracle R12 extensions, personalization, screens, and forms preferred
• Solid understanding and knowledge of the manufacturing industry and best practices, technologies, business functions, and processes
• Solid understanding of purchasing processes in a distribution business model
• Experience in full software life cycle development
• Experience in point to point integrations through roles in projects
• Highly self motivated and directed
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Overtime hours may be required to meet project deadlines
• Some travel will be required for the purpose of off-site implementation activities
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in JD Edwards World and OneWorld data integration
• Knowledge of various internet technologies and protocols
• Oracle Workflow
• BI Publisher
• EDI/XML/B2B
