Purchasing Assistant
Job Location: Tulsa, OK
Department:
Purchasing
Reports to:
Purchasing Manager
Overall Responsibility:
Purchase and negotiate price and delivery of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Read blueprints and specifications for each quote to determine what material is needed. Establish appropriate suppliers by evaluating vendor quotes. Provide data to PMM Sales/General Manager for proposal to our customer. Once contract is awarded, initiate and issue purchase order and perform appropriate follow-up to insure purchase order integrity.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma/GED. Basic computer skills are required.
