Job Description We have a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with a great organization in the Dayton area for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. This position requires experience and proficiency with both NX (unigraphics) and AutoCAD (2D/3D).
Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
"This position entails the design of new automation systems, implementation of existing automation system designs and system improvements.
"Use computer aided design systems (NX and AutoCAD) for all mechanical design and development.
"Responsible for selecting methods, processes, component parts, etc. related to new developments, improvements, and modifications.
"Participation in the start-up, integration, and debug phase of newly designed projects on-site at the facility or at a customer beta installation.
"Maintain all engineering documentation related to new designs and developments such as drawings, part lists, revision history, etc. Responsible for distribution of change numbers to the applicable departments.
"Key user of SAP within the automation team; specifically generating engineering data in material masters and bill of materials and the procurement of purchased materials, parts, supplies, equipment and services, etc. including the coordination of these efforts with Production Planning and Supply Chain to secure parts, materials, tooling, etc. within the planned time line
"Be able to communicate and provide technical information as required for internal departments such as purchasing, customer care, quality control, applications, operations, inside sales, finance, etc. as well as external suppliers and customers
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience in Related Field, Skills, etc.):
"Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training and/or a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
"Advanced knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD systems - preference AutoCAD and NX.
"Experience with SAP MRP system.
"Must possess a proven ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion.
Other (Supervisory Responsibilities, Physical Demands, Travel):
"This position may require up to 20% overnight domestic and international travel
