Assistant Production Manager

Job Description:
This position is responsible for meeting production goals and objectives. Person will act as a liaison between clients, other internal departments and the production group.
Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for communication and documentation related to projects involved with production.
Initiate, establish, modify and prepare necessary production schedules to meet client demands. Will be responsible for related logistics documentation, the storage of materials/inventory, necessary staging of incoming/outgoing product and transportation.
Will interact accordingly with such inventory issues and procedures as: storage, line stocking, packaging of, order to replenish, and track movement.
This position will act as a "communication hub" with all parties (both external and internal) relating to the transfer of information; example: production schedule adjustments due to client need or material shortage.
This position will be expected to assist with, research accordingly and interject regarding potential process and procedure improvements.
It is expected that this position will do everything possible to maintain a clean and safe work environment through the use of personnel direction, education and compliance of all established policies and methods.
Qualifications:
Education - Bachelors or Associates degree in Materials, Logistics, or a related technical field preferred.
Experience: This position requires proven experience managing a diverse workforce in a mass production, manufacturing environment. Experienced with the planning and scheduling necessary in a production environment. Proven work history reflecting involvement with production methods, shipping/receiving/staging procedures and inventory methods is preferred.
Position requires the ability to drive a variety of different lift trucks, and an established knowledge of production, shipping and customer service activities
Skills This position requires specific knowledge of packing design and function, the ability to drive a variety of lift trucks, and a general knowledge of sales, production, and shipping activities.
Compensation:
55-65,000

CANDIDATES WITHIN A REASONABLY COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE ABOVE WORK SITE ARE PREFERRED.
