CFD Analysis Engineer
Job Location: Cincinnati, OH
Shift:
Contract to direct
Job Description:
Experience with Fluent CFD software, Patran and LES (Large Eddy Simulation) a plus
Qualifications:
Substantial experience in CFD and/or heat transfer analysis.
Strong education and/or experience in aerothermodynamics.
Purpose of Position: Perform the required CFD analysis for the combustor system - turbomachinery and/or components.
Major Duties:
Provide analysis support for design changes and resolution of manufacturing issues by predicting the combustion gas and metal temperature distribution. Construct new 3D analysis models or modify existing models where needed. Be able to perform CFD code development, turbulence modeling and code anchoring using experimental data. Some experience with LES would be a plus. Interact with design engineers and resolve manufacturing issues of production engine hardware. Provide technical support to test facilities for the design and procurement of test hardware.
Education:
Minimum, Masters in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
