IT Help Desk Support

Location: Downtown Wichita Kansas

Status: 6-month contract-to-hire

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm M-F

Pay: $17 per hour

The Information Technologies Help Desk Analyst works with the Management Information System staff to provide first level support, and training to both internal and remote customers. The IT Help Desk Analyst manages the recording, analysis, prioritization, escalation, tracking and feedback of work orders received at the Help Desk electronically and via the telephone. This position is responsible for dispatching second level assistance, resolving user questions, and providing training to customers. Qualified personnel must be able to communicate effectively while working with diverse groups concerning the use of technology.

  • Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voicemail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from customers experiencing problems or questions with hardware, software, networks or telephones
  • Knowledge of current techniques and capabilities of phone and e-mail system. Knowledge of the standard software applications, hardware, and local area networks. Requires an understanding of how these major systems can affect the overall systems operation and the customers ability to do their job function
  • Ability to train customers and end users to effectively use computers, application software, and operating systems
  • Opens work order tickets for all calls received by documenting the required information in the problem-tracking database
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoots, and repair computer hardware, application software, and operating system related problems on PC compatible and Macintosh computers

REQUIRED:

  • Experience on computer hardware/software help desk supporting multiple sites
  • Experience supporting Windows and MS Office
  • Adobe software support is helpful, but not required
  • Networking experience is helpful, but not required
