Oracle DBA Architect

The Oracle DBA Architect on ExaData platform role will focus on the daily administration, support, ongoing maintenance and improvement of Oracle Databases running on ExaData and related integration components.
o Troubleshoot and resolve Oracle Data Base issues on ExaData platform.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues on ExaData platform.
o Troubleshoot and resolve DataGuard (Replication) issues.
o Keep databases in sync between HQ Data Center and DR Data Center.
o Oracle DB 11g and 12c provisioning on ExaData platform.
o Back up and restores process for Databases on ExaData platform.
o Back up and restores process for ExaData platform.
o Participate on ExaData and Oracle Databases meetings and keep track of agreements and activities.
o Work with IT team members to generate and update technical documentation.
o Keep track of ExaData and Oracle Databases project progress and generate status reports.
o Participate on ExaData and Oracle Databases projects
o Evaluate and test new ExaData and Oracle Databases technology.
o Responsible for administration, support, and ongoing maintenance of ExaData platform and all related components in the environment.
o Responsible for the administration, support, and ongoing maintenance of Oracle ExaData hardware units.
o Apply mandatory patch updates and testing.
o Proactively monitor and keep current with industry best practices (ExaData and Oracle Databases)
o 3+ years work experience and strong knowledge of Oracle 11g 12c in a RAC, ASM environment.
o 2+ years work experience and strong knowledge of Oracle ExaData platform architecture and technologies.
o 3+ years work experience and strong Linux administration.
o 3 + years work experience and strong knowledge of Oracle DataGuard.
o 2+ years work experience and strong Knowledge of Orace Golden Gate.
o 5+ years work experience and strong Knowledge of Oracle database backup and restore technologies at least.
o Strong Knowledge Setting up High Availability and Disaster recovery configuration on ExaData platform and Oracle Databases (At least 4 years of experience).
o Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 11g or 12c knowledge and experience required (At least 2 years).
o Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Industrial Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience
o Six additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree requirement
o Preferred Certification(s): Oracle database administrator certified professional or Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Database RAC and Grid Infrastructure Administration.
o Participation in 24x7 on-call pager rotation.
