Account Executive / Credit Analyst

Salary to $50,000 + bonus

Position Summary: Responsible for (i) ensuring client relationships are managed in compliance with company policies; (ii) working with underwriting and origination teams during diligence and closing processes to ensure a seamless transition; (iii) coordinating daily funding requests and collateral management with collateral/operations; (iv) managing criticized and classified credits to maximize recovery while balancing time and expense; and (v) being proactive in evaluating client needs and challenges, both to manage risk and to enhance client retention.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Account Executive is responsible for managing the relationship with the client in such a way as to provide a meaningful contribution to profitability and to protect against major losses. The primary objective of this position is to maintain the credit quality of the assigned portfolio. To accomplish this objective, the Account Executive should:

  • Participate in the due diligence process for prospective new borrowers, along with related documentation, document and closing of transaction.
  • Serve as primary contact with the client`s management, maintaining an awareness of business problems and providing cash management services as required.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the transaction structure, financial performance, collateral, documentation, industry trends, compliance with terms and conditions, and any other factors that impact risk exposure.
  • Ensure that collateral reports are submitted in accordance with the Factoring and Security agreement and that this collateral is properly monitored. Review collateral reports as required to assure that the client`s credit quality is maintained.
  • Ensures that all collateral verifications and pre-funding tasks are accurately completed.
  • Approve advances and/or invoice schedules in accordance with collateral availability, credit status and approval authority.
  • Review monthly and/or quarterly financial statements, aging reports, verifications and trend analyses to identify any signs of financial deterioration. Verify compliance with financial covenants.
  • Recommend changes in the reporting requirements or other elements of the factoring facility structure as required based on the financial performance of the client.
  • Ensure that factoring facilities are properly risk graded. Recommend changes in risk grading and exposure strategies as soon as circumstances warranting a change become apparent.
  • Ensure that factoring facilities permanent file remain properly documented and perfected, conforming to legal requirements.
  • Coordinates final Credit Committee Meeting for transaction approval.
  • Ensure open communication and collaborative effort exists between portfolio management team, underwriting and origination with respect to funding new client transactions and expanding existing client relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager or executive(s).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor`s degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years experience managing and/or underwriting factoring transactions in a wide variety of industries is desired and other types of banking lending or servicing relationships will be considered.
  • Direct experience in commercial credit management, extending unsecured credit to businesses based upon analysis of financial capacity will be given priority consideration.
  • Asset based field examination experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and forecasting models.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret commercial credit reports including Dun & Bradstreet.
