Duties:
The Occupational Therapist evaluates patient’s cognitive, perceptual, motor assets and liabilities for functional performance. The Occupational Therapist provides goal directed, activity oriented treatment to promote optimum independence in self-care, functional mobility and daily life tasks. The Occupational Therapist ensures continuation of performance through effective education of the patient, family or support system. The Occupational Therapist provides adaptive methods and equipment as appropriate to enhance performance.
Requirements:
Clerical ability to keep accurate records of patient treatment and preparation of meaningful reports. Visual, perceptual and motor abilities to understand biomechanics of the human body and adaptive device actions. Motor coordination, manual dexterity, ability to execute therapeutic procedures and manipulate special equipment accurately and safely
