Quality Engineer / Aerospace

MUST HAVE AEROSPACE QE EXP
DUTIES:
· Audits and reviews manufacturing processes including assembly methods and equipment.
· Utilizes quality control methods and procedures to reduce manufacturing costs by continuously improving product quality and reliability.
· Monitors customer returns and internal product and process nonconformities driving root cause, corrective actions and preventative actions.
· Schedules, coordinates and conducts supplier audits.
· Understands, follows, supports, and maintains the AS9100 quality system, manuals and other work instructions.
· Works as a team member on new product development initiatives with design engineers, manufacturing operations engineers and customers.
· Performs other duties as required.
· Coordinate and conduct inspection and conformity activities with various regulatory and customer representatives
· Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS/BA in engineering, quality management, quality assurance or equivalent preferred, 5 years experience in aviation quality assurance field in a manufacturing or production environment may be substituted.
· Proven team leadership skills; ability to effectively influence and motivate others.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
· Demonstrated root cause analysis and problem solving abilities.
· Working knowledge of FAA regulations including repair station 145, conformity inspection procedures and audits.
