Refinery Project Engineer - Electrical and Instrumentation

Job Description:
Company paid relocation, full benefits
Salary:
To $100,000
Job Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise for development, design and execution of capital, and expense projects in a safe, profitable, timely and efficient manner
Provide leadership to take assigned projects from conception through start-up utilizing the engineering work process
Develop, design, perform cost estimation and prepare/submit Authorization for Expenditures (AFE’s) for capital projects
Prepare specifications and procure materials and equipment
Provide technical support to refinery departments
Supervise contract personnel for engineering, design and installation of projects
Perform cost tracking and status reporting for assigned projects
Manage multiple project components simultaneously within a managed budget and execution schedule
Coordinate all disciplines required for assigned projects
Follow all safety rules and guidelines as established by the Refinery
Critical Skills and Abilities:
Proficient project coordination and management skill with engineering and field follow up experience
Must have strong instrumentation experience including distributive controls, PLC and field instrumentations
Strong preference for refining background
Education/Experience Requirement:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with Instrumentation Specialty and five or more years engineering and project management experience with a significant amount in a refinery petrochemical operating environment
Location:
El Dorado, Kansas, (Pop. 13, 000) South Central Kansas, approximately twenty-eight miles northeast of Wichita, Kansas (Pop. 350,000)
