Cattle Procurement Director
Job Location: Satanta, KS
Job Type: Direct Hire

Company paid relocation
Salary:
To $90,000
Duties:
- Responsible for the procurement of premium quality feeder cattle, at the most competitive price.
- Procure approximately 4,000 plus feeder cattle per week for domestic and export markets;
- Manage contractual relationships with producers;
- Analyze daily markets through electronic and written media;
- Deal with producers and livestock agents either directly or indirectly;
- Project cattle feed cattle weight for harvesting;
- Negotiate cattle pricing;
- Gain respect and trust of customers and cattle buyers;
- Attend and participate in daily business update meetings with ownership;
- Ensure customer contractual agreements are met from receipt of cattle to sale;
- Occasional travel to visit customers is required;
- Evaluate cattle market. Be informed about industry and trends.
Education:
Degree in Animal Science or related field or the equivalent experience.
Required:
5-10 years progressively responsible related cattle procurement experience;
Preferred:
Procurement in feedlot and/or packing facilities.
