Electrical Supervisor (Maintenance Manager)

Job Location: Kansas / Oklahoma area

Job Summary:
Responsible for the supervision of electrical personnel in the installation, repair, maintenance and general servicing of: electric motors, motor starters, motor controls, general electrical equipment, main power distribution systems, electrical wiring and plan fiber optic, telephone and communications systems. Other responsibilities will also be assigned by the Maintenance Superintendent in the development, coordination, and implementation of PSM related duties and electrical equipment reliability efforts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise and administer the Electric Shop Personnel.
Assure that all Electrical Shop personnel are regulatory compliant with current applicable regulations and codes.
Assure that all Electrical Shop personnel are adequately trained for their required duties.
Assure that all new Electric Shop employees are trained in the basic concepts of electrical installations and maintenance through videos, OJT, discussions, and formal training.
Assure that Electrical Shop personnel have or have access to specialized electrical tools, test equipment, and PPE.
Initiate maintenance orders for the inspection, certification and general upkeep of specialized electrical tools, test equipment, and PPE.
Coordinate the operation of the plant's electrical distribution system including all electrical distribution buildings and substations.
Consult with Engineering regarding electrical problems and work planned or in progress.
Coordinate with Planning and Scheduling Department in planning and scheduling of Electrical Shop work.
Assure the proper inventory of frequently used or critical electrical materials and parts are available.
Prepare reports and daily schedule sheets for tracking progress of on-going projects and work.
Enter data from Electric Shop personnel and/or contractors into the CMMS for reliability analysis of electrical equipment and maintenance performance.
Prepare annual department budget and assist in the survey of the condition of electrical equipment requiring capital budget replacement or upgrades.
Coordinate with outside electrical contractors, giving them work instructions, safety requirements, and procedures.
Supervise the Instrument Shop in the absence of the Instrument Shop Supervisor.
Perform other duties assigned and directed by the Maintenance Superintendent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in electrical field;
Or current holder of Journeyman's or above Electrical License and one-year related experience;
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
