Description:
Verify that new application enhancements function according to user requirements and design specifications, and conform to internal quality standards and guidelines. Monitor and control releases throughout the life-cycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop robust test plans and strategies.
- Execute test plans, document test results, recommend corrections/improvements to project developers, and ensure conformance to established quality standards.
- Create, maintain, and control an in-house test environment that simulates the real world.
- Evaluate the quality of work provided by developers and provide feedback to the appropriate Team Lead.
- Conduct compatibility tests of 3rd-party software products when applicable.
- Work with developers and help desk personnel to resolve customer issues.
- Implement automated and regression testing capabilities.
- Monitor and control new releases.
Required:
- 3+ years in software quality assurance testing in a business environment
- 3+ years experience working with SQL
Preferred:
- Experience with POS applications a plus
