Salary: CONTRACT – to $30 per hour (approx. $62,000 per year)
JOB PURPOSE:
Develop, execute, and implements test plans and test cases for complex, multi applications throughout the full lifecycle of the software. Work on all POS applications, including new and in production. Write and maintain test manual and automation. Publish test results. Develop quality assurance policy standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review new or modified program, including documentation, diagram, and flow chart, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines and requirements.
  • Define scope and objectives of all levels of QA testing.
  • Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, UAT testing.
  • Responsible for the overall success of testing. Manages assigned projects from IT Quality Testing through final User Acceptance Testing.
  • Establish the purpose and deliverables of the test effort.
  • Track and report defects using appropriate tools such as Bugzilla, Quality Center and record and report on testing metrics.
  • Automate tests where appropriate, producing and prioritizing bug reports
  • Provide resource planning, management and resolution of issues that impede the test effort.
  • Review computer operating log to identify program processing errors. Enter instructions into computer to test program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards
  • Experience working with a structured software methodology and process and tools.
  • Identify differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggest modifications to conform to standards
  • Write documentation to describe program evaluation, testing, and correction
  • May evaluate proposed software or software enhancement for feasibility
  • Experience performing test execution using Quality Center.
  • Verify load, scalability, and performance requirements have been met
  • Experience preparing test data for business data validation.
  • Experience testing web based applications.
  • Co-ordinate with the IT department to ensure required test platforms are available
  • Experience writing simple to moderately complex SQL to query Relational Databases
  • Provide clear documents, database and knowledge transfer to improve the success of the project
  • Assign work to QA analysts.
  • Additional duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • At least six years minimum of software test experience
  • Knowledge of writing and executing test procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio, Test Director, Mercury Test software
  • Ability to analyze system requirements and provide effective solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
