Job Overview
-Develop hardware and system concepts that satisfy the customer's requirements.
-Architect and design hardware solutions by analyzing the performance and feasibility of alternative hardware concepts using circuit theory, simulations, and mathematical models.
-Implement and verify the hardware design by using the appropriate EDA tools.
-Deliver prototype hardware to customers by implementing physical hardware designs by selecting components, capturing schematics, and supervising PCB layouts.
-Develop and execute hardware design verification test plans per requirements specifications to ensure prototypes meet design requirements.
-Demonstrate proficiency using lab equipment and debug techniques to ensure products meet design requirements.
-Directly interface with customers to clearly and concisely communicate technical information.
-Determine and document customer's product and system functional requirements in order to determine the objectives for future phases of the project.
-Assist project team members in other engineering disciplines in the development of hardware subsystems and interfaces as required by the project manager to ensure overall project success.
-Technically lead a team within chosen discipline in the development of products to ensure successful design and implementation.

Responsibilities
- Develop hardware and system concepts that satisfy the customer's requirements.
- Architect and design hardware solutions by analyzing the performance and feasibility of alternative hardware concepts using circuit theory, simulations, and mathematical models.
- Implement and verify the hardware design by using the appropriate EDA tools.
- Deliver prototype hardware to customers by implementing physical hardware designs by selecting components, capturing schematics, and supervising PCB layouts.
- Develop and execute hardware design verification test plans per requirements specifications to ensure prototypes meet design requirements.
- Support the development and assembly of prototypes by providing documentation and assistance to ensure high quality prototypes are built in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate proficiency using lab equipment and debug techniques to ensure products meet design requirements.
- Develop project documentation in accordance with quality and change management procedures and guidelines to ensure project information is properly organized and archived.
- Report status to the project manager in an accurate and concise manner so that the project manager can manage the schedule.
- Participate in the quality system to ensure design teams consistently produce high quality results.
- Support the transition of products to manufacturing by providing documentation and assistance to ensure production start-up issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Participate in design reviews for customer projects to ensure quality design output.

Qualifications
All candidates must have legal authorization to permanently live and work in the United States without visa or employer sponsorship.

Education/Experience:
* Possess a minimum of a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology.
* Suggested minimum of 4 years equivalent industry experience.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
* Possess strong analytical skills and good knowledge of electronic components and systems.
* Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
* Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
* Possess understanding of structured hardware design.
