Description

Responsible for providing IT system support for staff and operation of a large outpatient medical practice. Duties include but not limited to:
  • Provide high quality support for Nextgen Practice Management (EPM), Document Management System (ICS), DR Systems (PACS) applications.
  • Evaluate, test and implement software application upgrades. Includes some end user training responsibility.
  • Provide for the custom database reporting needs of company using third-party tools such as Crystal Reports, Nextgens EPM Reports, Dashboard, Excel, etc.
  • Work closely with billing office management to ensure EPM features are maximized to provide efficient, timely and accurate billing/collections processes.
  • Documents, tracks, and follows-up on all reported application problems, enhancement requests and system changes for the assigned applications.
  • Be a key contributor in accomplishing important company objectives, such as implementing patient web portal, maximizing P4P opportunities, maximizing opportunities for efficiency in revenue cycle, etc..
  • Enjoy solving problems and creating efficient processes that support automation (process improvement mentality).
  • Be part of the Help Desk support team.
  • Provide after-hours support in an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

SKILLS DESIRED:

Strong Physician Practice Management Systems knowledge, with preference of Nextgens EPM & ICS products. Knowledge of physician office revenue cycle process, including charge capture, coding, claims/clearinghouse, payment posting, and collections. Document Management Systems, custom reporting tools, patient web portal. Proven problem solving, analytical, communication, customer service skills.



QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • 3+ years experience in a software application support role.
  • Physician group or other healthcare industry experience.
  • B.S. degree in related field preferred
  • Proven problem solving, analytical, communication, customer service skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and have ability to use all available resources to solve problems.
  • Nextgen Healthcare applications experience helpful.
  • SQL knowledge a plus.
