DESCRIPTION:
PPD UHMW Industries, a leading manufacturer in compression molding of UHMW plastic located in Madison, SD is seeking for an HR & Safety Generalist to join its dynamic and growing team.
SUMMARY
This professional & dynamic individual will be responsible for providing a wide level of services to the organization, including managing HR & Safety policies, procedures and programs. This self-motivated person will also be responsible for employee relations, training, compensation and benefit packages, as well as all aspects of employment and occupational health & safety for the organization and its members.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Workforce & workplace general safety
• Payroll Administration
• Employee relations, recruiting and staffing
• Performance management & general continuous improvements
• Employee orientation, development and training
• Control of documentation & records of HR and Safety programs
• Conduct periodic plant safety inspection surveys & safety meetings

• Good leadership, strong organizational & computer skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and excel at multitasking in a fast paced environment

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Human Resources Degree, PHR Certification is a plus
• 1 to 2 years experience in HR & Safety fields
• Familiar with OSHA regulations & standards is required
