GENERAL SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of environmental service functions designed to maintain the facility in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Cleans and supplies patient rooms and services building areas through the use of equipment such as household type vacuum, buffing machines, extractors and other necessary tools.
- Utilizes various chemical to provide for a clean and sanitary environment.
- Practices and is observant of safety, infection and universal precautions.
- Properly stocks and cleans housekeeping carts and closets.
- Services all areas to include patients age newborn through geriatric.
- Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of general housekeeping functions and chemicals
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively.
