Our client is a model spinal cord injury center located at main hospital center in Connecticut. The Hospital also has 4 outpatient centers. Total outpatient department - 35 employees including physical, occupational therapist, and assistant and speech language pathologist.
They are looking for an outpatient neuro occupational therapist. Must have strong Neuro background with specific spinal cord and splinting skills and experience. Hand splinting skills are a plus but not required. Premier center for MYOMO - semi-robotic splinting device - utilizes surface EMG technology. Only outpatient center in Connecticut that utilizes MYOMO!!!
Very dynamic organization. Department is young, energetic and motivated! Great suburban location! 20 minutes to New Haven and the shore, 90 minutes to Boston and 90 minutes to New York City! 3 hours to great skiing! Excellent schools and Universities. Inservices, Continuing ed ($500 per year, plus onsite opportunities), tuition reimbursement, 21 PTO days, on site child care, medical, dental, health and vision insurance, etc. Excellent benefit packages. Monday through Friday - flexible shifts. No weekends! Can pick up per-diem hours when census is high - will be compensated at a per-diem rate.
