EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS....
Awesome opportunity to work in a small town community in a beautiful area in northeast Vermont - close to the Canadian border. We are searching for an Occupational Therapist to work inpatient, outpatient, local schools, and some skilled nursing facilities. This is a great opportunity for a OTR to work with all patient age groups and to treat a wide variety of diagnoses. We have a progressive outpatient clinic and also contract to our local nursing homes and schools. At this time, our school contracts and pediatric population make up a very large part of our caseload. We are looking for a therapist with a diverse background and an interest in pediatrics. The case load is estimated to be 50% pediatrics.
Our hospital serves 20 communities in the two-county area with a population base of approximately 25,000 residents. Additionally, we provide care to the many area visitors, summer vacationers, skiers, and other sportsmen that visit our area.
We offer a community-focused integrated health care delivery system. The award-winning Wellness Center supports and promotes community well being with its many programs for all ages and interests of the service area. Derby Green Nursing Home, another integrated member of the system, is a 23-bed nursing facility providing high quality elder care with dignity and compassion. This integrated system reflects the mission of the original founders which was to provide "excellent health care close to home".
The major industry for our area is dairy farming - with light industry and tourism being major contributors to the economic stability of the area. Our town is located in a picturesque setting of Vermont on Lake Memphremagog, a 26-mile long lake that connects us with Magog, Quebec. Recreation activities occur year-round and offer something for everyone. This is a great area to raise a family...low cost of living, low crime, friendly people, and none of the congestion hassles routinely associated with larger cities.
Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and be eligible for a state license.
