If you enjoy working with children and doing sensory integration you'll love this job. Our client is a is a non-profit school and therapy center for ages 3 to 21 with special needs. They focus on the use of sensory integration as the primary therapeutic approach. 90% of the population has a diagnosis on the autism spectrum. A few have CP. Most have behavioral issues. You'll work in a collaborative environment with speech therapists, music therapists, and other professionals.
There are three openings, two in the school, and one in the extended services clinic where you'll see kids on an outpatient basis. These positions are planned to run for 217 work days -- 180 school days plus 37 days of summer program -- so you get several weeks vacation each summer. The salary range is $45,500 to $70,000 which is excellent for this schedule. If you prefer, a contract position is available instead of direct employment.
Qualifications:
Must have an Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy and hold a current state license (or eligible). Strong new graduates are welcome.
