EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN DESERVE EXCEPTIONAL THERAPISTS...
Our Client is a wonderful school system located on the Southeast side of Houston....just minutes from downtown, NASA, and the warm weather of this prime location. We are currently looking for a Bilingual SLP/SLPA to complete the "08-'09 School Year....and beyond. We have a contractor who was selected for a job with a local children's hospital and we are looking for her replacement. After just speaking with the director, there is room for several Bilingual Speech Therapist and Speech Therapist Assistants! Premium pay paid for these skills!
Caseloads are varied and conservative. You will have plenty of support and mentorship in this "team-oriented" school district. We have had therapists working with this district for years....and they absolutely love it here! Our biggest need is in the Middle School area (grades 6, 7, & 8)...but there are other positions in the Pre-K through Elementary Schools ages as well. Diagnoses are varied and range from Autism to children with Learning Disabilities...and are treated in either a "self-contained classroom" while other are treated in the Mainstream arena. (More details to come....as I am waiting of information from the hiring manager!)
Qualifications:
Must hold a Master's Degree in either Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders; or a Bachelors Degree in Speech Language Pathology, and a current state license (or eligible) if applicable. (NEW GRAD WITH BILINGUAL SKILLS or CLINICAL FELLOWSHIP YEAR (CFY) CANDIDATES SHOULD DEFINITELY APPLY!)
PAY RANGE:
SLPA: $28 - $32 HR - SLP/CFY OR CS: $36 - $41 hr...based on experience. Good benefits...including a 401k! Relocation/Travel Assistance. CEU Reimbursement and more.
